A friend of mine has what was supposed to be a new MTS Central Station Type II with a "P" sticker (white on black background) on the bottom.

However, when he runs it it becomes "excessively hot", as compared to another one he has.

Any ideas what might be the problem, or where he might send this for repairs/checkout?

All assistance will be appreciated.
